There was no surprise when 13th ranked Pulaski Warka (3-12) was defeated at home by second ranked UMKS Kielce (11-4) 74-57 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by UMKS Kielce. Pulaski Warka was better in third quarter 24-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. UMKS Kielce forced 21 Pulaski Warka turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when UMKS Kielce made 8 blocks. Swingman Marcin Wrobel (200-87) fired 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Guard Artur Busz (194-88) chipped in 13 points and 8 rebounds. Four UMKS Kielce players scored in double figures. Forward Rafal Sebrala (195-87) produced 19 points and guard Pawel Adamczyk (186-84) added 9 points, 6 assists and 5 steals respectively for lost side. They maintain second position in Group C with 11-4 record having four points less than leader Open Florentyna. Newly promoted Pulaski Warka keeps the thirteenth place with 12 games lost. UMKS Kielce will face AZS II Polit.W-wa (#12) in Warszawa in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pulaski Warka will play on the road against UKS Siemaszka in Piekary.
