Regular Season Round 23: Dnipro - Halychyna 89-79

Very predictable result in Dnepropetrovsk where ninth ranked Dnipro (13-12) defeated bottom-ranked Halychyna (3-22) 89-79 on Monday. The game was mostly controlled by Dnipro. Halychyna was better in fourth quarter 27-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dnipro dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Halychyna's 44. It was a great evening for international guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). French power forward Jerome Moiso (208-78, college: UCLA) helped adding 15 points and 7 rebounds. Five Dnipro players scored in double figures. Serbian power forward Vladan Vukosavljevic (206-84, agency: Beo Basket) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 15 rebounds and American guard Lance Harris (195-83, college: Kansas St.) scored 22 points. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dnipro moved-up to eighth place. Loser Halychyna stay dead last with 22 lost games. Dnipro will face BC Kyiv (#9) at home in the next round.
