Very expected game when 10th ranked Elitzur Netanya (3-9) lost on the road to second ranked Elitzur Ramla (10-2) 93-89 on Monday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Elitzur Netanya won third quarter 21-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Elitzur Ramla won last quarter 27-25. They also forced 20 Elitzur Netanya turnovers. Strangely Elitzur Netanya outrebounded Elitzur Ramla 38-21 including 25 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Elitzur Netanya's players. American Tanisha Wright (180-83, college: Penn St., agency: LBM Management) nailed 25 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winning side and the former international point guard Laine Selwyn (172-81, college: Pittsburgh, agency: Data Plus Group) accounted for 18 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. American forward Ambrosia Anderson (186-84, college: BYU) came up with 22 points and 5 rebounds and the other American import center Jessica Lawson (191-86, college: S.Florida) added 13 points and 14 rebounds respectively for Elitzur Netanya in the defeat. Four Elitzur Ramla and five Elitzur Netanya players scored in double figures. Elitzur Ramla have a solid series of four victories in a row. Defending champion keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Maccabi Ashdod. Loser Elitzur Netanya dropped to the ninth place with nine games lost. They share the position with Elitzur Holon. Elitzur Ramla will meet league's leader Maccabi Ashdod on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Elitzur Netanya will play against Hap.Petah Tikva (#6) and hope to secure a win.
