Top 16 Round 3: BK Pardubice - N.Novgorod 87-80

BK Pardubice edged BC Nizhny Novgorod in Czech Republic in one of the last games on Wednesday in Round 3. They got 87:80 victory for the initial success. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 19-15. But BC Nizhny Novgorod won second period 24-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when BK Pardubice won last quarter 27-22. BC Nizhny Novgorod was plagued by 30 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American power forward Marcus Arnold who had a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds. Corey Muirhead chipped in 20 points and 8 rebounds. Arnold is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Polish forward Michal Ignerski who recorded 28 points and 5 rebounds and forward Artem Yakovenkoadded 15 points respectively.
