The game was mostly controlled by Halcones Rojos. Pioneros managed to win fourth quarter 25-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Halcones Rojos looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The former international forward Noe Alonzo (200-83, college: Grand Canyon) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points. Puerto Rican swingman David Cortes (190-81) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Four Halcones Rojos players scored in double figures. The former international center Horacio Llamas (212-73) replied with 15 points and American forward Evan Brock (204-84, college: Alabama) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Pioneros. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
