Regular Season Round 13: Nevezis - Juventus 91-68

One of the most interesting games of round 13 was a derby match between two teams from Lithuania. Eighth ranked Kedainiai outleveled visiting Juventus (7-8) 91-68. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 91-68. Kedainiai outrebounded Juventus 35-21 including 24 on the defensive glass. Forward Laimonas Kisielius (203-85, college: William & Mary) nailed 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Vytenis Jasikevicius (187-85) accounted for 18 points. Four Kedainiai players scored in double figures. Kedainiai's coach Gediminas Petrauskas felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Guard Tomas Gaidamavicius (191-82) came up with 15 points and swingman Gintautas Matulis (195-86) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Juventus in the defeat. Kedainiai have a solid series of four victories in a row. They moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Pieno Zvaigzdes. Juventus at the other side keep the sixth position with eight games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
