An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Pleszew. Leader Open Florentyna faced 4th placed AZS PP Poznan. Host Open Florentyna (16-0) smashed guests from Pozoan (9-5) 101-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of AZS PP Poznan. The game without a history. Open Florentyna led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Open Florentyna forced 20 AZS PP Poznan turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 30 assists comparing to just 17 passes made by AZS PP Poznan's players. Open Florentyna brought some defensive toughness making 12 blocks. Power forward Wojciech Zurawski (199-76) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 30 points and 17 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Guard Rafal Niesobski (189-82) contributed with 14 points and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Pawel Stankiewicz (195-82) answered with 23 points and 5 steals and Maciej Rostalski added 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks in the effort for AZS PP Poznan. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Open Florentyna have an impressive series of sixteen victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group A with 16-0 record. AZS PP Poznan at the other side keeps the fourth position with five games lost. Open Florentyna will play against AZS UWM Olsz. (#6) in Olsztyn in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. AZS PP Poznan will play at home against GKK Gorzow in Gorzow Wklp and hopes to get back on the winning track.
