Regular Season Round 24: DniproAzot - Khimik 84-78

We should mention about the upset which took place in Dniprodzerzhynsk, where higher ranked Khimik (16-10) lost to thirteenth ranked DniproAzot (7-17) in a road game 78-84 on Saturday. Khimik trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 21-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 78-84 at the end of the game. DniproAzot made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. DniproAzot outrebounded Khimik 38-26 including 23 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was center Michael Dunigan (208-89, college: Oregon, agency: N.E.T.) who scored 17 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Guard Mario Little (195-87, college: Kansas) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Chris Monroe (191-81, college: G.Washington) who recorded 17 points and 6 assists and forward Reyshawn Terry (203-84, college: N.Carolina) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. DniproAzot moved-up to twelfth place. Loser Khimik keeps the fourth position with ten games lost. DniproAzot will face league's second-placed BC Donetsk on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
