Rather expected game when 9th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (9-16) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked NH Ostrava (13-12) 84-76. The hosts were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 21-14 Basketbal Svitavy's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 84-76 at the end of the game. Strangely Basketbal Svitavy outrebounded NH Ostrava 44-30 including 25 on the offensive glass. American guard Derek Wright (175-86, college: Austin Peay St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 assists for the winning side and his fellow American import center James Hughes (211-83, college: N.Illinois, agency: I.D.S. Law) accounted for 20 points. Four NH Ostrava players scored in double figures. Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson) came up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 15 rebounds and American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) added 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for Basketbal Svitavy in the defeat. Basketbal Svitavy's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. The victory was the third consecutive win for NH Ostrava. They maintain seventh place with 13-12 record. Basketbal Svitavy at the other side keeps the ninth position with 16 games lost. NH Ostrava's next round opponent will be league's leader CEZ Nymburk on the road and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basketbal Svitavy will play against BC Kolin (#5).
