Regular Season Round 25: Azovmash - BC Odessa 64-69

Very important is a home loss of third ranked Azovmash (17-9) against sixth ranked BC Odessa (16-10) on Sunday night. Host Azovmash was defeated by BC Odessa in a tough game in Mariupol 64-69. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Azovmash. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. American guard Justin Love (189-78, college: St.Louis) nailed 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and Vincentian center Shawn King (208-82, college: ORU) accounted for 14 points and 11 rebounds. Four BC Odessa players scored in double figures. The former international center Oleksiy Pecherov (213-85) came up with 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Daniel Ewing (191-83, college: Duke, agency: Alti Sport) added 7 points and 7 assists respectively for Azovmash in the defeat. Azovmash's coach Gintaras Krapikas let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. BC Odessa moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Ferro-ZNTU and Khimik. Loser Azovmash keeps the third position with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
