The game in Gergelija was also quite interesting. 7th ranked Vardar (4-11) played at the court of eighth ranked Kozuv (3-12). Kozuv defeated Vardar 91-80 on Sunday. Kozuv dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vardar's 34 and made 16-of-19 free shots (84.2 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Montenegrin center Miko Golubovic (206-82, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who scored 26 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Guard Aleksandar Dimitrovski (193-80) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists. Kozuv's coach used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Aleksandar Stefanovski (200-87) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds and Predrag Pajic (-93) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Four Kozuv and five Vardar players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Kozuv maintains eighth place with 3-12 record. Vardar at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Kozuv will meet higher ranked Fersped-Rabotnicki (#5) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Vardar will play against Kumanovo 2009 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
