Regular Season Round 24: Dell Aspac - NSH GMC Riau 64-40
Date: February 2, 2012
Very predictable result in Jakarta where second ranked Aspac (13-2) smashed 11th ranked NSH GMC Riau (1-14) 64-40. The game without a history. Aspac led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding NSH GMC Riau to just 4 points in fourth quarter. Aspac forced 31 NSH GMC Riau turnovers and had a 20-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Pringgo Regowo (190-87) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 18 points and 19 rebounds and guard Handri Santosa (182-92) supported him with 12 points. Even 8 points and 9 rebounds by center Max Yanto (215-83) did not help to save the game for NSH GMC Riau. Yunus Efendi added 9 points and 8 rebounds. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aspac have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 13-2 record behind leader Satria Muda. NSH GMC Riau lost eleventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Satya Wacana. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
