Regular Season Round 5: Taiwan Beer - Bank of Taiwan 80-90

Bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses on Friday night. This time they won against fifth-ranked Taiwan Beer 90-80. Bank of Taiwan was tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Chih-Chiang Hsu (194-82) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds. International forward Shun-Hsiang Chen (190-85) chipped in 29 points. Four Bank of Taiwan players scored in double figures. American forward Emmanuel Jones (200-85, college: UTPA) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and international guard Chin-Min Yang (188-84) added 23 points and 4 assists respectivelyfor Bank of Taiwan. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bank of Taiwan maintains seventh place with 2-8 record. Taiwan Beer lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fifth position with seven games lost. They share it with KKL. Bank of Taiwan will meet higher ranked Yulon Luxgen (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Taiwan Beer will play against the league's leader Dacin Tigers and will have a slim chance for a victory.
