Regular Season Round 14: Kalev/Cramo - TU/Rock 72-61

One of the most interesting games of round 14 was a derby match between two teams from Estonia. The game took place in Tallinn where second ranked Kalev/Cramo won against visiting Tartu Ulikool (5-11) 72-61. The game was mostly controlled by Kalev/Cramo. Tartu Ulikool was better in fourth quarter 21-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Tartu Ulikool was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Belarusian power forward Pavel Ulyanko (204-79) notched 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and Latvian guard Armands Skele (192-83) supported him with 12 points and 8 rebounds. Even a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds by swingman Marek Doronin (200-83) did not help to save the game for Tartu Ulikool. American forward Bill Amis (205-87, college: Hawaii) added 12 points and 8 rebounds for the guests. Kalev/Cramo have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending Estonian champion maintains second position in 1 with 11-5 record behind leader Siauliai. Tartu Ulikool at the other side keeps the ninth place with 11 games lost. Kalev/Cramo will play against Baltai Kaunas (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tartu Ulikool will play against the league's leader Siauliai and hopes to get back on the winning track.
