Regular Season Round 5: Bank of Taiwan - Yulon Luxgen 77-82

Rather predictable result when third ranked Yulon Luxgen (8-4) defeated bottom-ranked Bank of Taiwan (2-8) 82-77 on Saturday. Yulon Luxgen trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 47-39 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Yulon Luxgen made 18-of-23 free shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They also forced 20 Bank of Taiwan turnovers. Strangely Bank of Taiwan outrebounded Yulon Luxgen 36-21 including a 29-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. The former international forward Cheng-Ju Lu (194-86) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and international Po-Chen Chou (197-90) chipped in 20 points. Yulon Luxgen's coach Xue-Lei Zhang used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International forward Shun-Hsiang Chen (190-85) responded with 30 points and American power forward John Vaudreuil (203-85, college: Minn.-Duluth, agency: Warren Sports International) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Yulon Luxgen maintains third place with 8-4 record behind leader Dacin Tigers. Bank of Taiwan lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with eight games lost. Yulon Luxgen will face league's leader Dacin Tigers in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Bank of Taiwan will play again against Yulon Luxgen (#3).
