Regular Season Round 19: Challans - CFBB 77-58

Date: February 4, 2012
Not a big story in a game when 17th ranked CFBB (2-17) was rolled over on the road by tenth ranked Vendee Challans (10-9) 77-58. The game was mostly controlled by Vendee Challans. CFBB was better in fourth quarter 14-7. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Vendee Challans dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to CFBB's 26. Vendee Challans forced 19 CFBB turnovers. It was a very good performance for forward Fabien Herard (198-79) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. American forward Josh Almanson (205-82, college: Bowling Green) contributed with 24 points for the winners. Guard Boris Dallo (193-94) answered with 11 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and center Alexandre Chassang (199-94) added 13 points in the effort for CFBB. CFBB's coach Jacques Commeres rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vendee Challans moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Lievin. CFBB at the other side dropped to the bottom position with 17 games lost. Vendee Challans' next round opponent will be Stade Clermont (#15) on the road which should be theoretically an easy game. CFBB will play against Roche.
