Very predictable result when second ranked Pogon Prudnik (14-4) won against 13th ranked Mickiewicz (4-14) in Katowice 73-69 on Sunday. Mickiewicz was trailing by 3 points at halftime but managed to get 5-point lead after three quarters before a 24-15 charge of Pogon Prudnik, which allowed them to win the game. They also forced 26 Mickiewicz turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pogon Prudnik made 15 blocks. It was a good game for swingman Maciej Lepczynski (193-82) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 5 assists. Forward Jaroslaw Pawlowski (194-80) contributed with 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Five Pogon Prudnik players scored in double figures. Guard Mateusz Jagiela (187-87) replied with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 5 steals and forward Lukasz Kosmowski (196-83) added 22 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Mickiewicz.
