Finals Game 2: Halc.Rojos - Toros 93-96 OT

Date: February 8, 2012
The guests trailed by 9 points after three quarters before their 19-10 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 3-point victory in overtime. Toros forced 20 Halcones Rojos turnovers. 27 personal fouls committed by Halcones Rojos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Venezuelan-Puerto Rican swingman Rafael Perez (193-82, agency: Paris Global Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points. Dominican power forward Elys Manuel Guzman (206-82, college: Bemidji St.) contributed with 19 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Five Toros players scored in double figures. The former international forward Noe Alonzo (200-83, college: Grand Canyon) replied with 28 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and Venezuelan point guard Gregory Vargas (182-86) added 18 points and 4 assists in the effort for Halcones Rojos. Halcones Rojos' coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help.
