Regular Season Round 14: TTU - Tarvas 83-90

Rakvere made a huge step towards reaching Challenge Cup semis after they beat TTU/Kalev on the road 90-83. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But TTU/Kalev won fourth quarter 21-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Center Reinar Hallik (208-84) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points and 9 rebounds. Latvian swingman Juris Umbrasko (197-79) contributed with 22 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American center Andrew Arnold (208-86, college: Lewis-Clark St.) replied with 24 points and 8 rebounds and forward Kiur Akenparg (190-88) added 21 points in the effort for TTU/Kalev. Four TTU/Kalev players scored in double figures. Rakvere Tarvas will host the second game of the best-of-three series on February 10th.
