Second Stage Round 1: Inter Bratislava - Svitavy 91-90
Date: February 8, 2012
A very interesting game took place in Bratislava. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of bottom-ranked Basketbal Svitavy (0-2) to leader Inter Bratislava (2-0) 91-90 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Basketbal Svitavy was ahead by 1 point at the halftime before a 22-16 third quarter run of Inter Bratislava. Worth to mention a great performance of Puerto Rican-American guard Emanuel Ubilla (188-86, college: Fair Dickinson) who helped to win the game recording 28 points, 5 assists and 4 steals. Serbian guard Mitar Trivunovic (196-77) contributed with 27 points and 5 assists for the winners. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Inter Bratislava keeps a position of A2 leader, which they share with Chomutov. Basketbal Svitavy at the other side still closes the standings with two games lost. Inter Bratislava's next round opponent will be BK Loko Plzen (#6) at home which should be theoretically an easy game. Basketbal Svitavy will play against Levice.
