Not a big story in a game in Moletai where 15th ranked Gargzdai-Bremena (8-25) was defeated by ninth ranked Ezerunas-Karys (18-15) 74-59 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by Ezerunas-Karys. Gargzdai-Bremena managed to win second period 11-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was forward Andrius Slezas (200-75) who scored 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Eimantas Narusis (201-86) chipped in 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Ezerunas-Karys' coach Mindaugas Kildisius used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Laurynas Lucinskas (201-93) who recorded 14 points and forward Renatas Jonelis (201-84) added 6 points and 8 rebounds respectively. Newly promoted Ezerunas-Karys maintains ninth place in with 18-15 record. Gargzdai-Bremena at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the fifteenth position with 25 games lost. Ezerunas-Karys will meet Statyba (#10) in the next round. Gargzdai-Bremena will play against S.Marciulionio (#11) in Vilnius and hope to secure a win.
