Regular Season Round 18: Atomeromu - Kormend 85-64

Round 18 in A Division means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Paks where host Atomeromu (11-7) crushed league's leader Kormend (15-3) 85-64 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Kormend. The game without a history. Atomeromu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The best player for the winners was American guard Lorenzo Williams (191-84, college: Rice, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 assists. International swingman David Vojvoda (191-90, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) chipped in 13 points and 7 rebounds. Four Atomeromu players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Darian Townes (208-84) who recorded 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and his fellow American import forward Rashad Bell (201-82, college: Boston U.) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Atomeromu moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kecskemeti. Kormend at the other side dropped to the second position with three games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Falco-Szova. Kormend will play next round against strong Albacomp trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Atomeromu will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Jaszberenyi on the road.
