An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Ulm. First ranked Brose Baskets faced second-best ratiopharm Ulm. Guests from Bamberg (19-2) smashed host ratiopharm Ulm (17-3) 102-74. It ended at the same time the 12-game winning streak of ratiopharm Ulm. The game without a history. Brose Baskets led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 66.7 percentage. Brose Baskets looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Brian Roberts (188-85, agency: Interperformances) who scored 20 points and 7 assists (perfect behind the arc making all six shots !!!). Swingman Casey Jacobsen (198-81, college: Stanford) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). At the other side the best for losing team was guard Isaiah Swann (188-85, college: Florida St.) who recorded 27 points and center John Bryant (208-87, college: Santa Clara) added 12 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Brose Baskets have an impressive series of twelve victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 19-2 record. ratiopharm Ulm at the other side keeps the second position with three games lost. Brose Baskets are looking forward to face TBB Trier (#16) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. ratiopharm Ulm will play against Bayern Muenchen (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
