Date: February 12, 2012
No shocking result in a game in Warszawa where fourth ranked Anwil (17-7) smashed 12th ranked AZS Politechnika Warszawska (6-18) 86-62 on Sunday. The game without a history. American swingman John Allen (194-82, college: Seton Hall, agency: Court Side) scored 28 points to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Lawrence Kinnard (202-86, college: UAB) chipped in 10 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. International guard Mateusz Ponitka (196-93) responded with 14 points and international guard Piotr Pamula (195-90) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anwil have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with PGE Turow and Energa Czarni. Newly promoted AZS Politechnika Warszawska keeps the twelfth position with 18 games lost.
