Regular Season Round 21: Ternopil - Aviastar 62-114

Bottom-ranked Ternopil-TNEU (0-18) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 114-62 loss to fourth ranked Aviastar (13-7) in Ternopil. The game without a history. Aviastar led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Ternopil-TNEU's 36 and made 19-of-22 charity shots (86.4 percent) during the game. Aviastar forced 19 Ternopil-TNEU turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Aviastar especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 56.3 percentage. It was a good game for center Olexandr Berhin (205-85) who led his team to a victory with 19 points and 8 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). Dimitri Vinogradski contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Aviastar players scored in double figures. Center Sergyi Teleshko (209-92) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Artem Dachenko (183-90) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Ternopil-TNEU. Ternopil-TNEU's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Aviastar maintains fourth place with 13-7 record. Ternopil-TNEU at the other side still closes the standings. Aviastar will play against BK Kremen (#6) in Kremenchuk in the next round. Ternopil-TNEU will play on the road against the league's second-placed VolinBasket (#2) in Lutsk and hopes to get finally their first victory.
