Regular Season Round 24: Stahnsdorf - Hannover 72-80

ProB top team - Hannover Tigers (17-4) added another victory to their record. This time they beat seventh ranked RSV Eintracht (11-12) in Stahnsdorf 80-72. It looked good early as RSV Eintracht took an 5-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Hannover Tigers had a 18-10 second period charge getting the lead and RSV Eintracht was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 72-80. Hannover Tigers forced 21 RSV Eintracht turnovers. The winners were led by American guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: San Diego St.) who scored that evening 25 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals and naturalized Canadian guard Stephen Janzen (191-82) supported him with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Even 22 points and 7 rebounds by American swingman Akeem Bennett (190-87, college: St.Francis, NY) did not help to save the game for RSV Eintracht. Guard Thomas Schoeps (188-89, college: Odessa JC) added 17 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Hannover Tigers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 17-4 record. RSV Eintracht lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with 12 games lost. Hannover Tigers will play against SC Rist Wedel (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. RSV Eintracht will play against SC Rasta Vechta and hopes to get back on the winning track.
