An interesting game was also a 16-point tough road defeat of 5th ranked Triobet in a game in Marijampole versus Matinga-Juod. (#8) 88-72. The game was mostly controlled by Matinga-Juod.. Triobet managed to win fourth quarter 25-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Aurimas Birgelis (190-88) nailed 20 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Zilvinas Kuklierius (180-85) accounted for 9 points and 6 assists. Power forward Rokas Cepanonis (207-89) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and forward Vytautas Kruzikas (199-89) added 19 points respectively for Triobet in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Matinga-Juod. (19-15) moved-up to sixth place in . Loser Triobet dropped to the seventh position with 16 games lost. Matinga-Juod. will meet higher ranked LKKA-Atletas (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Triobet will play against Zalgiris-Sabonio (#8) in Kaunas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
