There was no surprise when 9th ranked Enisey Krasnoyarsk (1-9) was defeated at home by seventh ranked Unics Kazan (5-4) 77-69 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-20. But Enisey Krasnoyarsk won second period 14-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American-Bosnian guard Henry Domercant (192-80, college: E.Illinois) stepped up and scored 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Lynn Greer (186-79, college: Temple) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. At the losing side American center Lonny Baxter (203-79, college: Maryland, agency: Priority Sports) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Andrei Komarovskiy (196-85) scored 9 points and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Unics Kazan moved-up to fifth place. Enisey Krasnoyarsk lost their eighth game in a row. They keep the ninth position with nine games lost. They share it with N.Novgorod. Unics Kazan will meet at home higher ranked Triumph Lyubertsy (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Enisey Krasnoyarsk will play against the league's leader CSKA Moscow (#1).
