An interesting game for USK Praha (27-0) which hosted in Praha 4th ranked Sokol Hradec Kralove (16-10). Top-ranked USK Praha had an easy win 101-68. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Sokol Hradec Kralove. It looked good early as Sokol Hradec Kralove took an 2-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then USK Praha had a 27-8 second period charge getting the lead and Sokol Hradec Kralove was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 68-101. USK Praha made 26-of-33 charity shots (78.8 percent) during the game, while Sokol Hradec Kralove only scored five points from the stripe. USK Praha forced 23 Sokol Hradec Kralove turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Swedish guard Frida Eldebrink (174-88, agency: Josep and Nicolas) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Lindsay Whalen (173-82, college: Minnesota) who added 18 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four USK Praha players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international center Michaela Hartigova (192-83) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and forward Andrea Ovsikova (178-89) scored 14 points and 5 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. USK Praha have an impressive 27-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A1 with 27-0 record. Sokol Hradec Kralove at the other side keeps the fourth place with ten games lost. USK Praha will play against Basket Slovanka MB (#6) in Vodochody in the next round where they are favorite. Sokol Hradec Kralove will play at home against Kara Trutnov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
