Regular Season Round 49: Tulsa 66ers - Maine RC 84-86

Kenny Hayes hit a jump shot with two-tenths of a second left to lift the Maine Red Claws to an 86-84 victory over the Tulsa 66ers Tuesday night at the Tulsa Convention Center. The basket stopped a fourth-quarter rally by the 66ers (16-20), who trailed 71-63 with 10:05 left, and avenged a 108-83 blowout on Jan. 7 at Tulsa. The Red Claws (13-12), who ended a four-game slide, are 5-5 in their last 10 games. They play at Rio Grande Valley tonight. Maine led by as many as 11 in the second half after going ahead 48-42 at the end of the second quarter. Tulsa recovered on the shooting of Xavier Alexander, who scored all 10 of his points in the fourth quarter. Alexander started an 11-3 run with a 3-pointer and a field goal to make it 71-68 with 8:59 left. Delroy James followed with a dunk and gave Tulsa the lead, 72-71, on its next possession with a layup.
