Ventspils closed EuroChallenge Day 5 with the win in Holland. The Latvian side improved to 3-2 record after 60:57 victory. Ventspils led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Diane and Strelnieks scored for 19:15, while they led 1 point at the halftime. Berzins improved to 37:29, but Shepherd tied the game at 37:37. Gray however kept the guests in front after three periods. Abernethy and Young brought the last points for the winners to taste the win. Mamadi Diane stepped up and scored 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and American point guard Steven Gray chipped in 13 points. American point guard Thomas Jackson responded with 11 points and 7 rebounds and guard Arvin Slagter scored 13 points. Leiden's coach Toon Van Helfteren tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
