The guests trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they stormed back and won the game by 27 points. Toronto dominated on the defensive end, holding York to just 0 points in second quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to York's 16. Toronto forced 25 York turnovers and outrebounded them 51-30 including a 25-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for forward Megan Stoncius (178) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 15 rebounds. Forward Julie Longauer (180) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Toronto's coach Michele Blanger felt very confident using 11 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Hayley Finn (180) answered with 9 points and 8 rebounds and forward Courtney Osborne (180) added 8 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for York.
