Regular Season Round 17: Rudupis - Liepaja 94-79

Everything went according to plan in Prienai where fifth ranked Lithuanian Rudupis (11-6) beat bottom-ranked Latvian Liepaja (3-16) 94-79 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 94-79. Rudupis made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Edgaras Zelionis (207-89) stepped up and scored 32 points and 5 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Arturas Milaknis (195-86) chipped in 20 points. Guard Martins Kravcenko (192-85) responded with 21 points and 4 assists and center Toms Leiteris (210-90) scored 20 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rudupis moved-up to third place in 1, which they share with Ventspils. Liepaja at the other side stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
