Second Stage Round 5: Kozuv - ABA Strumica 146-62

Eighth ranked Kozuv (4-13) crushed at home 9th ranked ABA Strumica (2-15) by 84 points 146-62, which is the biggest margin this round. The game without a history. Kozuv led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They were well out of reach of ABA Strumica shooting 80.8 percent from the field. Kozuv forced 20 ABA Strumica turnovers and outrebounded them 37-7 including a 28-7 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Kozuv especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 32 assists comparing to just 4 passes made by ABA Strumica's players. Power forward Dejan Vegov (205-83, college: Blinn JC) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds (perfect from the field making all nine shots !!!). Forward Petar Apcev (199-89, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with 16 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. Five Kozuv players scored in double figures. Guard Zoran Delev (184-84) answered with 21 points and Aleksandar Kosev added 21 points in the effort for ABA Strumica. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Newly promoted Kozuv maintains eighth place in Play Out with 4-13 record. ABA Strumica lost ninth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
