Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fourth ranked BK Decin and one of their biggest challengers BK Pardubice had identical 20-7 record. But BK Pardubice was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Decin 58-54 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the second position in A1. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 14-7 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. BK Decin dominated on the defensive end, holding BK Pardubice to just 7 points in third quarter. The best player for the winners was swingman Lubos Stria (197-81) who scored 13 points and 8 rebounds. International power forward Pavel Houska (204-84) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. The former international power forward Zbynek Pospisil (205-81) produced 12 points and 7 rebounds and Canadian-Jamaican forward Corey Muirhead (198-83, college: W.Carolina) added 13 points respectively for the hosts. BK Decin (21-7) moved-up to second place in A1, which they share with BK Prostejov. Loser BK Pardubice dropped to the fourth position with eight games lost. BK Decin will face league's leader CEZ Nymburk at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. BK Pardubice will play against BC Kolin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
