Guandong Tigers made 20-of-25 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Fujian SBS XunXin turnovers and outrebounded them 52-32 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Aaron Brooks (183-85, college: Oregon) who scored 31 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. His fellow American import forward James Singleton (203-81, college: Murray St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guandong Tigers' coach ChunJiang Li felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Lei Guo (201-83) who recorded 25 points and 8 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and forward Qixin Zhou (195-85) added 20 points respectively. Five Guandong Tigers and four Fujian SBS XunXin players scored in double figures.
