Very expected game when 15th ranked Trabzonspor (4-15) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Aliaga (10-9) 87-72 on Sunday. Aliaga shot 60.3 percent from the field. The game was dominated by American players. Guard Ryan Toolson (193-85, college: Utah Valley) fired 22 points for the winners. Center Brian Qvale (210-88, college: Montana) chipped in 18 points and 7 rebounds. Center Elton Brown (206-83, college: Virginia) produced a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 18 rebounds and guard Russell Robinson (185-86) added 15 points respectively for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Aliaga maintains eighth place with 10-9 record. Loser Trabzonspor keeps the fifteenth position with 15 games lost. Aliaga will face Antalya (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Trabzonspor will play against Olin Edirne and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
