There was no surprise when 8th ranked Aalborg (8-17) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Vaerlose (11-15) 79-73 on Sunday. Aalborg was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Vaerlose made 8 blocks. The game was dominated by American players. Power forward Christopher Sprinker (205, college: Cent.Washington) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and guard Reginald Delk (193-86, college: Louisville) chipped in 14 points and 6 assists during the contest. point guard Ryan White (177-88, college: Texas St.) responded with 22 points, 6 assists and 5 steals and forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St.) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds.
