Second Stage Round 6: Trutnov - IMOS Brno 68-74

The game between Top Four teams took place in Trutnov. One of their biggest challengers host Kara Trutnov (18-10) lost to second ranked Frisco Sika (23-5) 74-68. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Kara Trutnov won third quarter 18-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Kara Trutnov 43-31 including 30 on the defensive glass. American guard Jasmine Thomas (175-89, college: Duke) scored 21 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and international power forward Alena Hanusova (189-91) chipped in 21 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was the former international forward Hana Snajdrova-Ziklova (183-80) with 21 points and 7 rebounds and forward Katerina Novakova (188-85) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Defending champion maintains second position in Group A1 with 23-5 record having seven points less than leader USK Praha. Loser Kara Trutnov keeps the third place with ten games lost. Frisco Sika will face league's leader USK Praha on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kara Trutnov will play against Basket Slovanka MB in Vodochody.
