The game without a history. Regina led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They also forced 20 UFV turnovers and had a 38-24 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was an exceptional evening for guard Carly Graham (175-89) who led the winners and scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. Polish guard Joanna Zalesiak (174-88, college: UTEP) accounted for 12 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 5 steals for the winning side. Regina's coach Dave Taylor used entire bench saving starting five for next games. Forward Sarah Wierks (188) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds and forward Kayli Santori (182) added 15 points respectively for UFV in the defeat.
