Semi-Finals Game 1: Guangdong ST - Xinjiang FT 95-92

The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Xinjiang Flying Tige won third quarter 22-17. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Guandong Tigers won last quarter 26-25. They also forced 20 Xinjiang Flying Tige turnovers and had a 18-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. International swingman ShiPeng Wang (197-83) stepped up and scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners and American point guard Aaron Brooks (183-85, college: Oregon) chipped in 21 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American swingman Tim Pickett (193-81, college: Florida St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 24 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and the former international center Bateer Mengke (210-75) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Xinjiang Flying Tige's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help.
