The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Skopje: MZT Skopje (#2) and Torus Skopje (#3). Torus Skopje was defeated at home 55-70 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. The game without a history. MZT Skopje led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Torus Skopje helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The former international power forward Gjorgi Cekovski (203-79, agency: New Trend Agency) fired a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Serbian guard Igor Mijajlovic (193-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) chipped in 12 points and 4 assists. Five MZT Skopje players scored in double figures. American power forward Justin Reynolds (204-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and the former international guard Dimitar Karadzovski (190-84, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Torus Skopje's coach Slobodan Petrovski rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. MZT Skopje (19-4) keeps a position of leader. Torus Skopje at the other side dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost. MZT Skopje are looking forward to face Kumanovo 2009 (#5) at home in the next round. Torus Skopje's supporters also look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Skopje to the arena Fersped-Rabotnicki.
