ZBL top team - Valosun Brno (15-15) had no problems winning another game on Tuesday. This time they beat sixth ranked DSK Karlin (1-29) 86-68. DSK Karlin was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Valosun Brno dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to DSK Karlin's 40. Valosun Brno forced 19 DSK Karlin turnovers and outrebounded them 48-37 including a 39-25 advantage in defensive rebounds. American center Chloe Kerr (191-85, college: USC) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 12 rebounds. The former international swingman Irena Borecka (176-80) contributed with 18 points for the winners. American forward Arnika Brown (187-87, college: W.Kentucky, agency: LBM Management) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and center Irena Spirkova (191-82) added 14 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for DSK Karlin. Five Valosun Brno and four DSK Karlin players scored in double figures. Valosun Brno have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A2 with 15-15 record, which they share with Karlovy Vary. DSK Karlin lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the sixth place with 29 games lost. Valosun Brno will face Aldast Strakonice (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. DSK Karlin will play against BK Pliska Studanka in Pardubice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
