Very important is a home loss of second ranked Levice (14-19) against sixth ranked BK Usti nad Labem (10-23) on Wednesday night. Host Levice was defeated by BK Usti nad Labem in a tough game in Levice 62-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Levice. The winners were led by American guard Thaddeus McFadden (188-87, college: Fairmont St., agency: Stanley International) who scored that evening 28 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals and Canadian forward Troy Gottselig (203-87) supported him with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by Croatian-Slovenian forward Stipe Modric (206-79) did not help to save the game for Levice. Slovakian power forward Jozef Vojtek (203-85) added 7 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Levice's coach Peter Balint rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BK Usti nad Labem moved-up to fifth place in A2. Levice at the other side keeps the second position with 19 games lost. They share it with Svitavy. BK Usti nad Labem will play against B&W Opava (#8) on the road in the next round. Levice will play against Levharti Chomutov (#4) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
