Second Stage Round 4: Loko Plzen - Svitavy 59-62

Seventh-ranked BK Loko Plzen (8-25) gave a tough game to fourth ranked Basketbal Svitavy (14-19) on Wednesday. The visitors from Svitavy managed to secure only three-point victory 62-59. However their fans expected easier game. The guests trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 62-59. 28 personal fouls committed by BK Loko Plzen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Michael Deloach (183-86, college: Norfolk St.) who helped to win the game recording 12 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists and Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson) who added 13 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side Slovakian forward Marek Kozlik (187-86) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Ladislav Pecka (197-91) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Basketbal Svitavy moved-up to second place in A2, which they share with Levice. BK Loko Plzen at the other side keeps the seventh position with 25 games lost. Basketbal Svitavy is looking forward to face Inter Bratislava (#6) at home in the next round. BK Loko Plzen will play against the league's leader NH Ostrava and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
