The game was mostly controlled by Windsor. Cape Breton managed to win fourth quarter 28-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. Windsor outrebounded Cape Breton 43-29 including 18 on the offensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Cape Breton helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. French forward Jessica Clemencon (188-89) orchestrated the victory by scoring 30 points and 6 rebounds. point guard Miah-Marie Langlois (176-91) contributed with 13 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Four Windsor players scored in double figures. American guard Cassie Cooke (175-91, college: Mt.St.Marys) answered with 29 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jahlica Kirnon (170) added 13 points in the effort for Cape Breton. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
