Axemen forced 19 Thunderwolves turnovers. 25 personal fouls committed by Thunderwolves helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. International forward Owen Klassen (208-91) fired a double-double by scoring 27 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Guard Anthony Sears (193) chipped in 17 points and 7 rebounds. Four Axemen players scored in double figures. Guard Greg Carter (178-90) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and Ben Johnson (-88) added 12 points and 8 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
