There was no surprise when 6th ranked USK Praha (15-16) was crushed on the road by third ranked BK Decin (22-9) 100-59 on Saturday. The game without a history. BK Decin led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to USK Praha's 38 and made 24-of-29 free shots (82.8 percent) during the game. They outrebounded USK Praha 32-18 including 23 on the defensive glass. BK Decin looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was international power forward Pavel Houska (204-84) who scored 18 points and 8 rebounds. Swingman Lubos Stria (197-81) chipped in 18 points. Four BK Decin players scored in double figures. Slovakian center Peter Sedmak (207-85) produced 19 points and the former international forward Vojtech Hruban (202-89) added 18 points respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. BK Decin maintains third place in A1 with 22-9 record having just one point less than leader NH Ostrava. USK Praha lost their fifth game in a row. They keep the sixth position with 16 games lost. BK Decin will face BC Kolin (#5) on the road in the next round. USK Praha will play against the league's leader CEZ Nymburk.
