The game between closely ranked teams ended with eleventh ranked Cagliari CUS's (5-16) road victory over bottom-ranked Alcamo (3-18) 68-61 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 1-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 68-61. The best player for the winners was international forward Nnena Wabara (183-81, college: Baylor, agency: Two Points) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds. Slovakian center Klaudia Lukacovicova (193-90) chipped in 10 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Romanian forward Simina Mandache (185-81) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and Polish center Patrycja Gulak-Lipka (192-82, college: Massachusetts) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Cagliari CUS moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Priolo. Alcamo lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 18 games lost. Cagliari CUS is looking forward to face league's leader Taranto at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Alcamo will play against Bracco Geas (#8) in Sesto S.Giovanni and is hoping to prove to their supporters that they can break losing series.
