Regular Season Round 30: Fabriano - Latina Basket 44-55

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked Fabriano's (8-20) home loss to fourth ranked Latina Basket (14-15) 44-55 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 7 points at the halftime before their 31-13 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Latina Basket dominated on the defensive end, holding Fabriano to just 6 points in third quarter and to 13 points in second half. Latina Basket forced 19 Fabriano turnovers. It was a good game for naturalized Serbian forward Marko Micevic (198-89) who led his team to a victory with 10 points and 6 rebounds. The former international point guard Riccardo Serena (181-82) contributed with 10 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Latina Basket players scored in double figures. Latina Basket maintains fourth position with 14-15 record. Newly promoted Fabriano keeps the fifth place with 20 games lost. Latina Basket will face league's leader Chieti at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Fabriano will play against the league's second-placed Trieste (#2).
